Donald L. Pointer Donald L. Pointer, age 80, of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, died at 1:20AM on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1930 in Pleasant Hill to the late Norris V. and Mary E. Hill Pointer. He married Carolyn Hufford Pointer on June 12, 1954, and she survives. Other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Pointer of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Lynn and Ted Speelman of Troy, Ohio; three grandchildren: Elena Pointer, Steffani Rigsbee and Jacob Kristine Reynolds; one great-granddaughter, Keyara; sister-in-law, Peggy Hancock of Troy, Ohio and brother-in-law, George Hufford of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a 1947 graduate of Newton High School and served in the National Guard from 1948-1951. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, West Milton Masonic Lodge and Past Master in 1961 of the former Pleasant Hill Lodge. Mr. Pointer worked for 22 years at the First National Bank in Troy and retired from Huntington Bank after a total of 36 years of banking. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Craig Showalter officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
