Donald Eugean Kerns, 69, of Arcanum, Ohio died on Monday, October 9, 2006 in Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on April 13, 1937 in Greenfield, Ohio to the late Earl and Virginia Mercer Kerns. He married Pamela Hackworth Kerns, his wife of 43+ years. Also surviving are his children, daughters, Jenny Jim Sorah of Arcanum, OH; Karen Gary Wackler of Troy, OH and Donna Barker of Arcanum, OH; five sisters, Lois Mottie of Greenfield, OH; Helen Jean Kline of Greenfield, OH; Mary Anna Logan of Chillicothe, OH; Linda Kidder of Greenfield, OH; Francis Mathers of Springfield, OH; two brothers, Charlie Kerns of Greenfield, OH and Richard Kerns of Greenfield, OH; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lowell Kerns. He was a US Navy Veteran. He worked at Rotary Forms, Hillsboro, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 @ 1:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Burial will take place in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call on the family two hours prior to the service.
