Donald M. Forney Jr., age 86, formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Brookdale of Englewood. He was born on October 2, 1929 in Fort Huachuca, AZ to the late Donald and Winifred (Martin) Forney, Sr. His wife of 43 years, Jeannie A. Forney preceded him in death December 8, 2010.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Nan (Joe) Conard of Troy; son, Robert Forney of Troy; sister: Pat (Stan) Curtis of TX; granddaughter: Roselyn; and step granddaughter: Caroline.

After graduating from Texas A & M University, Donald entered the Air Force and served from 1951-1953.  He attained the rank of Major, and spent his time at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, specializing in metallurgical research.  He was an honorary member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Troy.  Military honors will be presented by the Veterans Honor Guard.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
