Donald A. Davis, age 89, of Troy, OH died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Koester Pavilion, Troy, OH. He was born December 20, 1918 in Adams County, IN to the late George W. Davis and Huldah Bender Davis. His wife of 66 years, Dorothy C. Tecklenburg Davis survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Karen Davis of Centerville, OH; daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Ronald Sweeney & Carol Davis of Troy, OH; six grandchildren, Christopher Sweeney, Angela Sweeney, and Lynn Sweeney, Shawn Davis, Kristen Davis, and Brett Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Voyle and Harold Davis, and sister, Velma Davis. Mr. Davis was a 1936 graduate of Troy High School, a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Troy Senior Citizens Center and was WWII US Army veteran. He was a Ham radio operator and loved golf and bowling. He retired from Hobart Corporation after 43 years of service and was a member of the Hobart Quarter Century Club. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30AM Friday, Dec. 28, 2007 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH with the Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH with veterans honor guard services at the graveside. Friends may call at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH from 6-8PM Thursday.
