DONALD L. BRINKMAN

DONALD L. BRINKMAN, age 81, of Troy, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Koester Pavilion in Troy.  He was born in Troy on October 5, 1933 to the late Frank and Cora (Bausman) Brinkman.  His wife, Martha (Shaffer) Brinkman, preceded him in death on January 4, 2010.

Donald is survived by two daughters: Kimberly Brinkman of Herkimer, NY and Beth Ann Waddle  (Craig Bowman) of Greenville; one son: Jeff Brinkman of Troy; two stepdaughters: Debi Godfrey (Larry Gibson) of Piqua and Tami Hutton (Kurt) Russell of Newport News, VA; two sisters: Doris South of Redmon, WA and Betty Guthrie of TN; one son-in-law: Gary Waddle of Piqua; eleven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents and his spouse, he was preceded in death by one sister: Thelma Walters; one stepson: Bill Godfrey; one great grandson: Dashawn; and one great granddaughter: Amberlee.

Donald proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  He retired from Sonoco Products in Piqua after many years of service.  Donald loved the outdoors.

Services will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.  Military honors will be provided by the VFW Honorguard at the funeral home.  Friends may call from 5-7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
