DOLORES FRANCIS MALONEY
DOLORES FRANCIS MALONEY, beloved wife of Paul James Maloney, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years. They were married in St. Paul's Shrine, Cleveland, Ohio after a five year courtship. She was born on June 10, 1931 to the late Frank and Josephine (Sorsek) Homovec, Jr. at University Hospitals, Cleveland, Ohio. She lived her life for God, Family and Country. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Dolores is survived by her brother: Ral Homovec. She was a very proud mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children: Kathleen Ann Hauser (James), Dr. Brian Paul Maloney (Diane), Paul Thomas Maloney (Julie) and her five beloved grandchildren: Michael James Hauser, Tara Ann Maloney, Meghan Marie Maloney, Kaitlyn Ann Hauser and McKenzie Elizabeth Maloney; nephews: Drew Homovec (Karen) and Brett Homovec (CC); and two granddogs: Murphy and Sam Maloney.
Dolores attended Boyd Jr. Business College and Western Reserve University. She retired from Keys Gateway. She dedicated her life to volunteering and spent countless hours volunteering in schools in Fuerth, Germany, Tiffin, Ohio and Vandalia, Ohio. She accrued over 2200 volunteer hours at Betty Jane Rehabilitation, Tiffin, Ohio. She served on the Board and later became Executive Director of Seneca County Easter Seals. She had been a member and past President of the Afternoon Garden Club in Tiffin and Troy, member of TWIGS Card Club, member of Better Sigma Phi Sorority, Past President and member of Miami County Republican Women and a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia, Ohio.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Christopher Catholic church with Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl as Celebrant. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either St. Christopher Catholic Church, 405 East National Road, Vandalia, OH 45377 or Hospice of Miami County, P. O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.bairdfuneralhome.com .
