Diana Jean Bair, age 71, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Piqua Manor after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Diana was born on September 17, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to Clifford and Grace (Wilson) Bowsher.  She was a graduate of Lima Shawnee High School with the class of 1964.  Diana married Michael S. Bair on December 18, 1976, and he survives.  She is also survived by her two sons, Roger and Andrew, and by a sister, Deborah (Dale) Rudisill, all of Troy.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Raymond and Stephen Bowsher, two sisters, Patricia Bowsher and Nancy Anaya.

She was a graduate of the Ohio State University and received her master's degree from the University of Dayton.  Diana retired from Miami East Schools after teaching for 30 years at the high school and junior high school.  She enjoyed working in the secretary's office at the Miami County fairgrounds during the summer breaks, taking entries and helping with the judging in the Art Hall.  After retiring from teaching, she worked for five years at Miami County Job and Family Services.

Diana enjoyed music; she played violin in her high school orchestra as well as the Lima Symphony Orchestra, and could also play piano.  She was choir director at Lostcreek United Church of Christ in Casstown and started and directed the church's children's and adult chime choirs as well as serving the church as treasurer for a number of years.  Diana was a two-time cancer survivor and was team captain of Lostcreek UCC's Relay for Life team for several years.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on September 8, 2018 at Lostcreek United Church of Christ at 7007 E. Troy-Urbana Rd. with Pastor Jason Egbert officiating.  Interment will follow at Casstown Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on Saturday.
