Dennis Gray, Age 52 of Dayton passed away on Monday, January 15, 2001 in Cincinnati. Mr. Gray was born in Greenville. He graduated from Westmont High School in Hollansburg where he served as class president in 1966. He earned a Bachelors degree from Morehead State University with a dual major in English and Sociology and a Masters degree in Sociology. For 29 years, Mr. Gray served young people as their English Teacher, softball coach, drama director, Power of the Pen coach and coordinator, MUSE club advisor, mentor and friend. He taught at Flemingsburg High School in Kentucky, Arcanum-Butler High School and Bethel Schools. Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda; parents, Bob and Jean Gray of Hollansburg; 2 brothers, Dillard Connie of Texas and Tony Jennifer of Florida; 2 sisters, Juanita RandyThomas of Tennessee and Louise Richard Gray of Florida; 2 daughters, Stephanie Aaron Johnson of Troy and Angel Chris Zappanti of Washington Township; son, Neil Wood of Dayton; niece, Sandy Hughes of Dayton and 4 grandchildren - Aaron, Jr., Kalon, Gregory & Gabrielle. Visitation hours will be from 1:00PM-5:00PM Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001 at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, Tipp City, Ohio. A memorial service will be held 7:00PM Thursday at the church. The family request that visitors come to celebrate Dennis' life no black clothing. Donations may be made to the Dennis Gray Memorial Fund through Fifth-Third Bank in lieu of flower arrangements.
