DENNIS E. CRUSE

DENNIS E. CRUSE, age 74, of Troy, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, OH following a brief illness.  He was born on November 20, 1940 to the late Herbert K. and Clara (Loudermilk) Cruse.  He married Beverly M. Sotzing on June 24, 1968 and she survives.

Dennis is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Todd and Cindy Cruse of Pickerington, OH and Greg and Erica Cruse of Sidney, OH; seven sisters: Cora Hunter and Connie Eggleston, both of Rupert, WV, Renie Greene of Hurricane, WV, Brenda Berry of Tera Alta, WV, Becky Osborne of Meadowbridge, WV, Sarah Dunbar of McCannon, WV and Sharon Neal of Craigsville, WV; two brothers: Kenneth Cruse and John Cruse, both of Summersville, WV; brother-in-law and wife: Chuck and Dots Sotzing of Huntingburg, IN; and five grandchildren: Madison, Tyler, Troy, Alisha and Brooklyn Cruse and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by two sisters: Faye Small and Betty Cruse.

Dennis was a member of First Baptist Church in Vandalia.  He was also a little league baseball coach for fifteen years. He retired from Hydro Aluminum in Sidney, and was formerly employed by Odawara Automation in Tipp City.  Dennis proudly served his country as a member of the US Army Reserves. Dennis was a devoted grandfather who enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their sporting activities.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor David Starry officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Friends may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the funeral home.
