Dennis L. Brown, age 82, of Troy, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on October 12, 1941 in Troy to the late Bess E. (Jenkins) Brown and the late George E. Brown. Denny was married to Melody (Conard) Brown, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, Denny was preceded in death by his brother: Gregory of Brookville.

Denny is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Brown) Merritt of West Milton; his niece, Mindy (Matthew) Weschler of Raleigh, NC; and his step-daughter Nicole Sharits of Bowling Green, OH.

Denny attended Troy High School and was a member of many local clubs including the Eagles, the AMVETS, the Elks Lodge, and the Moose Lodge, where he loved to spend time with his many friends. Denny continued to be very active and social until his last day. Denny brought a smile to those he dealt with, loved to tell a good story, and had a great sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
