Delorma "Dee" Rose Whitmer Steineman Delorma "Dee" Rose Whitmer Steineman, age 86, formerly of Troy, Ohio, and resided in Tipp City, Ohio, passed away at 7:10AM on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Plymouth, Indiana to the late Wilbur and Hazel Ramsey Flowers. Her first husband, Robert M. Whitmer, preceded her in death in 1986 and her second husband, Clarence Steineman, preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include two children: Pamela Whitmer Hunter of Columbus, Ohio and Jodie Whitmer of Tipp City, Ohio; stepchildren: Richard Steineman of Troy, Diane Ingle of Ludlow Falls, Ohio, Doris Steineman of Davenport, Iowa and Douglas Steineman of Huntington, Indiana; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her spouses, Mrs. Steineman was preceded in death by her two sons, Robert Glen Whitmer in 1987 and Michael L. Whitmer in 2001; two stepsons, Daniel Steineman in 1963 and Donald Steineman in 2003; brother, Paul Flowers in 1989; and sister, Helen Clark in 2004. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodge, all of Troy. She was a former organist for Scotts Inn and Holiday Inn. She was very well loved by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
