Delores "Jean" Crego (Bair), age 95, passed away on June 11, 2024 at Upper Valley Medical Center.  She was born on July 25, 1928 in Troy, OH to the late Gideon and Elsie Mae Bair.  She was raised on a 100 acre farm on Eldean Rd. in Troy, along with her five siblings who preceded her in death, Arzella Lindscott (Bair), Anita Ditmer (Bair), Frank Bair, Leonard Bair and Bailey Bair.

Jean married Loren Crego in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1998. She has one daughter, Vicki Perry (McKee); three step-sons, David Crego, Daniel Crego and Dennis Crego and six step-daughters, Teresa Wall (Crego), Kathy Overton (Crego), Cheryl Zerkle (Crego), Rose Crego, Jeanie Strickland (Crego) and Marcia Cole (Crego).  All of these children have graced her with 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Over the years, Jean has worked at A.O. Smith in Tipp City (1950-1986) and Team Marketing in Troy/Piqua (1994-2006).  Besides spending time with family, she enjoyed golfing with her friends, square dancing, euchre, Mexican dominos, puzzles, traveling, laughing, and playing ornery tricks on people.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Interment will take place in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday.
