Dr. David M. Spencer, 81, died in the ER at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy on August 26, 2002. He is survived by wife, Barbara E. Kaiser Spencer; children, Caroline Spencer, Cynthia O'Neal, Holly Linton, John David Shultz; John R. Schultz; 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Caroline McCulloch Spencer; sons, David M. Spencer and Geoffrey Spencer and one brother, Jack Spencer. Mr. Spencer was a graduate of Dartmouth College and Cincinnati Medical School. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church - Troy, Ohio; Quiet Birdmen; Sportsman Pilot Association;; Member of NRA: Ocean Reef Club; Queen City Club; Troy Country Club; VFW. He served in the US Navy as a flight surgeon on the USS Midway during WWII. Dr. Spencer had retired as an ear, note and throat physician. Visitation will be from 10-11:00AM on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 60 S. Dorset, Troy, Ohio. A service will be held at the church at 11:00AM with Rev. Robert Dwight officiating. Contributions may be made to Sunrise Center, Brethren Church, Troy, Ohio.
