DAVID LEE SPENCER, age 69, of Troy, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Frankfurt, Germany on August 12, 1951 to the late Donald and Jeanne (Henson) Spencer.

David is survived by his wife of 25 years: Catherine (Barnes) Spencer; ten children: Amber Spencer Smith, Krista Spencer, Dr. Michael Bess, Valery Bess, Christopher Bess, Rachel Winslett, Jonathan Spencer, Michelle Spencer, Andrew Spencer and Rachel Bucholz; sixteen grandchildren; and four brothers: Michael, James, Jerry and Roger Spencer.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Aaron Spencer.

David retired from GM after 40 years as an electrician.  He was a former member of Troy Fish & Game and American Legion Post #43.  David enjoyed camping, being in the mountains, going to the beach and watching his kid's bowl.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Monday March 29, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with his son-in-law, Benjamin Winslett, officiating.  Family will receive friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
