David J. Hayslett, age 67, of Troy, passed away on January 19, 2022 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.  He was born on March 16, 1954 in Piqua to the late John and Georgia (Cavender) Hayslett.

David is survived by his wife of 34 years: Kim (Redmond) Hayslett; children: Shane (Brittany) Hayslett of Troy; Brandy (Marques) Kincaid of Vandalia; and Jason (Jamie) Brumbaugh of Troy; siblings: Curt (Sona) Hayslett of FL; Terry Hayslett of Piqua; and Karen Hayslett of Piqua; grandchildren: Korbyn Hayslett; Peyton Hayslett; Gianna Kincaid; Makai Kincaid; Karter Brumbaugh; and Axel Brumbaugh.

David attended New Vision Church in Vandalia.   He worked at Hobart Brothers for 40 years and retired as a supervisor.   He loved his grandchildren and spending time at the races with his family owned sprint car team.

A funeral service will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Darin Bolden officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
