David K. Galbreath, Sr., 78, passed out of this life on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, Ohio. He was born on January 29, 1926 in Troy, Ohio to the late Earl and Golda Hanlon Galbreath. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sharon Hall Galbreath and his daughter & son-in-law; Connie and Charles Winkler of Roswell, GA; sons & daughter-in-laws; David K. & Julia Galbreath Jr. of Piqua, Ohio; Tim & Kathy Galbreath of Winder, GA; and stepdaughter and son-in-law; Beth & Terry Shaffer of Fredricksburg, VA. Also a sister, Kay Holder of Indianapolis, Ind. and sister & brother-in-law; Betty & Bill McGee of Casstown, OH and seven grandchildren; Patrick, Ann, Katie and Libby Galbreath; Reid, John and Ben Winkler and five step-grandchildren, Chad, Ashley, Joshua McDade; Tristan and TJ Shaffer. He is also survived by his former wife, Ruth Galbreath of Troy, Ohio. He is preceeded in death by his parents. He was a member the First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio and several other organizations. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII on the USS Cod Submarine. He was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1944 and graduate of Miami University in 1949. He was a broker/realtor of Galbreath Better Homes and Gardens in Troy, Ohio for 50 years, retiring in 1992. The Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II will be officiating with burial held at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the Troy Foundations or The Lehman High School Foundation.
