David R. Cartwright, age 71, of Tipp City passed away on January 16, 2024 at the Upper Valley Medical Center.  He was born on April 20, 1952 in Dayton to the late Kent D. and Norma Lucille (Eubank) Cartwright.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Patricia A. (Spade) Cartwright; three children: Shannon Lee Cartwright of Troy, Rebecca Ann Watters of Troy and Rodney D. "Randy" Randolph Jr. of Troy; sister: Nancy (John) Holloway of Erlanger, KY and five grandchildren: Christopher, Gabriel, Matthew, Landon and Lily.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: John Cartwright and sister: Barb Parker.

David was a graduate of Northridge High School.  He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.  He loved everything about cars.  He was a driver for Chevrolet of Troy and worked in maintenance at St. Patrick Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy with Fr. Steven Shoup officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Private interment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City at a later date.
