David P. Adams David P. Adams, age 84, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 11:35AM on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. He was born on June 22, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Rev. Samuel J. Adams and Cordella I. Houser Adams. His wife of 49 years, Addie I. Plank Adams, preceded him in death on January 27, 2008. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Alice Schauer. Mr. Adams is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ann and John Franklin Battelle of Vandalia, Ohio and one sister, Carolyn J. Sugiuchi of Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from high school, he attended Data Processing School at New York Tech in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of Brandt United Methodist Church and was a data processor for PMI for 24 years before retiring in 1989. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
