Darryl Frederick Bendickson, age 83, of Troy passed away on September 2, 2023, at Garbry Ridge in Piqua. He was born on September 13, 1939 in Flint, MI. to the late Frederick and Lois ( Lauderbach) Bendickson.

Darryl is survived by his wife of 61 years of marriage: Nancy (Bliss) Bendickson; sons and daughters-in-law: David (Cindi) Bendickson of Piqua, Darwin Bendickson of Ft. Wayne, IN and Derick (Kristin) Bendickson of Troy; brother: Don (Chris) Bendickson of Bradenton, FL and sister: Joanne Bendickson of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren: Nathan (Liz) Bendickson, Kolin (Breanna) Bendickson, Katrina (Cameron) Raser and Ethin Bendickson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Dawain Bendickson.

Darryl served his country in the US Navy from 1957-1961.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City and a charter member of the Model T Ford Club of American. He retired from Michigan Bell in 1994 after 22 years of service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
