Daniel T. Potter, 79, of Troy, Ohio died Tues. 1/19/1999 at Harborside Healthcare Center.  Mr. Potter was born 3/12/1919 in Lewis Co. Ky. to the late Isaac and Didma Bentley Potter.  He is survived by his wife; LaVerne Schmidt Potter, 3 children;  Joe and Julie Potter of Troy, Oh., Philip and Suzanne Potter of Piqua, Oh.,  and Mark and Melanie Potter of Moorhees, NJ.; 1 brother William Potter of Tipp City; 6 grandchildren, and 1 step great granddaughter.  Mr. Potter was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy; American Legion, Post 43, Troy; Former Scout leader, Troop 82, Troy; Hobart Quarter Century club; UAW Local #128, Troy; UAW retirees club; AARP; WW II US Army Veteran; 1977 retiree of Hobart Corporation, Troy.  Services will be held Fri. 1/22/1999 at 2:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Ronald Payne officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery - Troy, with VFW honor guard services at graveside.  Family and friends may call Thurs. 1/21/1999 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
