Daniel "Danny" Robert Davis Daniel "Danny" Robert Davis, age 61, of Casstown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Troy, Ohio. He was born on July 21, 1949 in Troy to Wade and Thelma Morrison Davis. Daniel was named after his grandfathers: Daniel Wayland Davis and Robert Morrison Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade and son, Matthew Jeremy. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Pamela Sue Dennison Davis; his children: Wade Lindsay, Jarrod, Brecken and Logan Davis; mother, Thelma Davis and sister, Pamela Jo Davis both of Troy; and his beloved dog, "Captain". He attended grade school and Jr. High at Bethel and graduated in 1967 from Troy High School. He attended the University of Kentucky and was a Veteran of the US Marines having received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the Vietnam War. Daniel was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Carlisle. He was employed by the Schaefer Group for 33 years before retiring in 2004. To his longtime friends and family, he was known as "Danny". He was a loyal and caring son, brother, husband, father and friend to all those he held dear to his heart. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
