Dale L. Vesper is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret McCurdy Vesper; daughters and son-in-law: Leslie A. Vesper of Burlington, CO and Julia and Joseph Potter of Troy; sister and brother-in-law, Imogene and Donald Johnson of Casper, WY; brother and sister-in-law, Charles N. and Jean N. Vesper of El Mirage, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Amy Nichols Vesper and a son William Carl Vesper. Mr. Vesper was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy; Miami Co. Amateur Radio Club W8HCI, JVS Robotics Club and was a WWII Navy veteran. He had a bachelors from Ohio State University and a Masters in Physics from Miami University, Oxford, OH. Mr. Vesper started teaching in 1953 in Champaign Co. Cable school; moved into Miami County system at Elizabeth Twp, then Miami Central schools until the fall of 1954 when he came to Troy High School teaching science and physics, becoming head of the Science Department. He was past President of Ohio Education Association and active in the Troy Teachers Association. When he retired in 1992, he continued his commitment to the Troy City schools with his election to the Baord of Education where he currently served as President. Private family services will be held.
