Dale Arthur Henning Dale Arthur Henning, age 65, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 10:55AM on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Koester Pavilion in Troy after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 9, 1945 in Elgin, Illinois to the late Arthur Franz and Alice Elma Smith Henning. His wife of 42 years, Sharon Marie Mason Henning survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Stephanie Henning of Englewood, Ohio; two daughters and a son-in-law: Kristine Henning of Renton, Washington and Cynthia and Jason Sroufe of Troy, Ohio; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Lucille and Ken Geiske of Harvard, Illinois and Marion Huntington and Dorothy and Roger Paddock all of Hampshire, Illinois; and four grandchildren: Brandon, Alex and Joel Henning and Cher Sroufe. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Dale had been employed by Goodrich in Troy, Ohio as a mechanical engineer for 40 years. He was a member of the Troy Fish & Game Club, Newport Sportsman's Club, Goose Fever Hunt Club and the Drake Land Farm Hunting Group. Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Troy Fish and Game Club with Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson, II officiating. Interment will follow at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the Troy Fish and Game Club.
