DALE HUMPHREY FISHER

DALE HUMPHREY FISHER, age 76, of Troy, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Randall Residence Tipp City.  He was born in Cleveland on April 27, 1938 to the late Stanley Oliver and Evolyn May (Humphrey) Fisher.  Dale married Marilyn Mott and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2012.

Dale is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Rusty Miller and Sharon and Dean Willson all of Troy; one brother and sister-in-law: Richard and Barbara Fisher of FL; and three grandchildren: Alexis Miller of Huber Heights, Austin Miller of Columbus and Anna Willson of Troy.

Dale proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Navy and was a 3 ^rd Class Air Controlman.  Dale became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Troy in 1968.  He loved singing in the Church's choir and did so for well over 40 years.  He helped out with various charities and organizations including being a FISH volunteer.  He helped out at Richard's Chapel in Troy in their soup kitchen for a number of years.  Dale belonged to the First United Methodist Church Men's Prayer Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed communing with the men at Friendly Ice Cream every Saturday morning.  Another one of Dale's great loves was being a proud volunteer for the Troy Emergency Crew in the 1980's for several years.  He also liked gardening, tennis and hiking in the woods with his family.  Dale was self employed as a painter.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Crossroads Hospice and the Randall Residence for their special care.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Troy with the Rev. Theron Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy with military honors by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.  Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
