Dale E. Detrick, 82, of Troy, Ohio died on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at his residence. He was born on January 12, 1924 in Fairborn, Ohio to the late Russell and Ruth Evans Detrick. He married Kathleen Althoff Detrick, and she survives his wife of 53 years. Also surviving are his children, son & daughter-in-law; David & Mary Detrick of Greenville, South Carolina and daughters & son-in-laws; Kathy & Tim Galbreath of Winder, Georgia; Jean & Bob Butler of Scottsdale, Arizona; sisters, Mildred Sensman and Betty Heffner both of Tipp City, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, June Booher; brothers, Byron Detrick; Hugh Detrick and Billie Detrick. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving as a Gunners Mate #2; he worked for 18 year for Pure Oil, Dayton as pipe liners; was a truck driver and terminal manager with Detrick Hauling for 10 years. There will be a private family service. Burial will take place in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
