Clyde J. Boxcar Smitley is survived by his wife, Phyllis Frye Smitley, a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael Duffey; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Smitley; Chris and Cheri Smitley; six grandchildren, Chianna, MacKenzie, Megan and Matthew Smitley and Jared and Evan Duffey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl C. and Leilia Potts Smitley; a daughter, Kathleen and a grandson, Eli Duffey.

He was a Cum Laude graduate of Miami University; instructor of Corporate Finance at Sinclair College; Senior Financial Adminisrator at General Motors Delco Morain.
