Clyde Elwin Jones Clyde Elwin Jones, age 74, of Troy, Ohio, passed away at 4:20PM on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Chilo, Ohio to the late Arlee Tomas and Tressie Alice Gravitt Jones. His wife of 14 years, Ethel M. Crum Ward-Jones, survives. He is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law: Cynthia and Bill Chrisman of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, Velvet and Scott Gheen of Troy, Tonia Kidder-Ward of Dayton, Ohio, and Esther and Bill Sheafer of Casstown, Ohio; son, Charles Ward of Ludlow Falls, Ohio; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his son, Tomas Guy Jones; one grandson, David Ryan Chrisman; five sisters; and four brothers. He was a member of Troy Freewill Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio and he worked at Cardinal Foods in Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rev. Mark Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg, Ohio. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Friday at the funeral home.
