Obituary

Cloyd A. Wilhelm of Troy, Ohio died Saturday, March 9, 2002 at the Koester Pavilion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl L. and Minnie C. Oda Wilhelm; wife, Ethel Laughman, whom he married January 9, 1937; a son, Jack; three brothers, Lowell, Paul and John. Survivors include his daughter, Jean; daughter-in-law, Doris; sisters, Lois Henderson; Henrietta Skinner; Hilda Morrow; Kathryn Jay; Ruth Ellen Greer; Mildred Clott; Margaret Moore; brothers, Herbert; Harold; Carl Richard and Elbert; one step-granddaughter; one step-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wilhelm attended Jimtown and Concord Elementary Schools and was graduated from Troy High School in 1930. He was a life-long attending member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Piqua. He had also been a member of the Miami County Farm Bureau, the Waco Historical Society and the Miami County Antique Power Association. He was a skilled farmer throughout his entire life and retired from B.F. Goodrich Corporation, Troy in 1977. Memorial contributions may be made to the SHIP Fund of St. John's Lutheran Church, Piqua; the Bethany Center in Piqua or to the donor's favorite charity.
