Clarence B. ''Smiley'' Steineman, 82, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Friday, December 26, 2003 at the Koester Pavilion Nursing Facility. He was born October 24, 1921 in Minster, Ohio to the late Frank and Ann Stockhuer Steineman. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Delorma ''Dee'' Flowers Whitmer, and his children, Richard Steineman of Troy, Ohio; Diane Ingle of Ludlow Falls, Ohio; Doris Steineman of Davenport, Iowa; Douglas Steineman of Huntington, Indiana and his step-children, Pamela Whitmer Hunter of Powell, Ohio and Jodie Whitmer of Tipp City, Ohio and one step-daughter-in-law, Shirley Whitmer of Troy, Ohio. He also has 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clarina Mader Steineman; sons, Daniel Steineman, Donald Steineman; Stepsons, Robert Whitmer and Michael Whitmer; Sisters, Florentine Barnes, Volunta Thobe, Evelyn Gillis and Justine Sebring; brothers; Norbert, Herbert; Frank and Ray. Mr. Steineman was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Troy; W.W II Army Veteran; member of Troy American Legiion Post 43; Knights of Columbus, lifemember of AmVets and Troy VFW Post 5436. He retired in 1978 from Hobart Corporation after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Hobarts. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association; Brain Injury Association; or Arthritis Foundation. Memorial Honor Guard Service at Graveside.
