Clara M. Hobbs, age 93, formerly of Troy, OH and more recently of Luray, VA passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Winchester, VA.  Clara was born on May 30, 1924 in Callie County, KY to the late Nelson Spangler and Mary (Combs) Spangler.

Clara is survived by her children: John (Karen) Sigman of Merrillville, IN; Donald Sigman of Troy, OH and Anita (Michael) Church of Luray, VA; sisters: Margie Short of IN, Una Sheard of Kettering, OH and Laura Vann of Tipp City, OH; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Rosie Jones; four brothers: George, Robert, Cullen and Richard Spangler; two sisters: Minnie Craft and Maggie Collier; and two grandchildren.

Clara was a former member of the Troy Church of the Nazarene.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.  Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
