Christopher Joseph Brown, age 64, of Troy, more recently of Bradford, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at his residence on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born on June 14, 1960 to the late Barbara Jean (McGuire) Brown and Frederick (Bud) Joseph Brown at Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy.

Chris will be greatly missed by the love of his life: Jeanne (Dunlavey) Brown, his wife of 40 years, whom he married on July 27, 1984; his sisters: Melia Seefluth of Piqua and Melisa (Mike) Brubaker of Bradford; sisters-in-law Nicki (James) Roach and Barbara (Jesse) Jewell; brother-in-law: Charles (Penny) Dunlavey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and several aunts.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and his wife's twin sister: Jayne Russell.

Chris was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1979. One of his first jobs was at Marsh Supermarket during his teenage years. After working several jobs, his desire was to start his own business, Trojan Steel Rule Die, which he started in his grandfather's Hobby Shop building on Race Drive.

Chris enjoyed hunting with his dad, and hanging with him at the business, doing some woodworking, making beautiful jewelry boxes for his family.

Chris loved talking about his Lord and Savior and could not wait to see Jesus face to face. He also enjoyed getting into lively conversations about the politics of the day.

There will be a celebration of Chris' life on at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Mark Coulter officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
