CHRISTINA MAE MCDONALD

Christina Mae (Beekman) McDonald, age 100, of Piqua, OH passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at her residence.  She was born on January 26, 1914 in Champaign County, OH to the late Joseph Q. and Elsie (Comer) Beekman.  Christina married Harold Edward McDonald on September 28, 1940 and he preceded her in death.

Christina is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to her care givers: Pat and Teresa.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Monger and Alice Moore; and one nephew.

Christina graduated from Lena High School.  She was a loving homemaker. Christina enjoyed playing bingo and working on puzzles.  She also loved gardening.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Dale Christian officiating.  Interment will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery in St. Paris, OH.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
