Chester Chet Hartzell Cady, age 92, longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio died Tuesday, February 19 in Troy, Ohio. Mr. Cady was a former resident of the Garbry Ridge Assisted Living facility in Piqua, Ohio. Mr. Cady was born of the late, Hiram Franklin and Ethel A. Broughton Cady. He was married to Velma Lorene Burdette Cady on June 22, 1931 and she preceded him in death on January 19, 1997. Mr. Cady is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas L. and Cherrill R. Cady; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Sue Cady and Dr. John Bozick; grandchildren, Thomas A. and his wife, Melissa Cady; Jonathan Bozick; Katie Bozick and great-grandchild, Johlin. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, he was active in the Methodist Men's group and served as an usher. He was an avid bowler and other hobbies consisted of playing cards, fishing and gardening. Retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years of service, he was a member of the Goodyear Engineering Hunting and Fishing Club in Akron.
