Obituary

Charles M. Wilde Charles M. Wilde, age 88, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the Sterling House, Troy. He was born November 27, 1919 in Kansas City, MO, to the late Martin and Lillian Wilde. His wife, Frances Marie Chronabery Wilde, preceded him in death on December 15, 1995. Mr. Wilde is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sandra and Dan Gurklies of Troy; three stepsons and daughters-in-law: Donald and Joanne Motter of Piqua, OH, Larry and Susan Motter of Springfield, OH and Dennis and Mary Ann Motter of Maineville, OH; ten grandchildren: Ashley Nathan Fox, Adam Tammy Dietz, Lisa Gary Stover, Donald Tammy Motter Jr., Mark Motter, Julie Barry Harshbarger, Lynn Treharne, Daniel Marcia Motter, Tonya Motter and Cathy Hicks; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his cat, Shirley. He was a member of the Huber Heights Baptist Temple and the VFW. He was also a US Army WWII veteran. Mr. Wilde retired from the Veterans Administration. He enjoyed baking for others and enjoyed his breakfast group. He loved adopting and caring for animals. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Monday, August 4, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Chuck Zimmerman officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Vandalia, Ohio. There will be Honor Guard Services at the graveside by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua, Ohio. Friends may call from 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southwest Regional Office, 2808 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45206 or Sterling House Activity Fund, 81 S. Stanfield Rd., Troy, OH 45373. The family would like to extend appreciation to Dr. Koduri, Dr. Butnam, Jackie in chemotherapy, Cheree Faulkner, the visiting nurse, and the staff of Sterling House, Troy for their special care and love.
