Charles L. Rietz, age 84, of Troy, passed away on December 1, 2021 at home.  He was born on June 10, 1937 in Wheatland, Wyoming to the late Andrew and Mildred (Wilson) Rietz.

He is survived by his children: Sandra Louise Schmidt of Troy; Sheri Lynn (James) Curtis of Piqua and Creg A. (Sheila) Rietz of Troy; siblings: George (Betty) Rietz of Flint, MI; Roxanne Dodge of Toledo; and Peggy (Sonny) Osterhout of Stryker, OH; sister-in-law: Maxie Rietz of Ten Mile, TN; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years: Joyce A. (Loudon) Rietz and brother: Jim Rietz.

Charles was a US Air Force veteran and had worked for Masters Manufacturing in Ansonia.   Charles enjoyed photography and fishing.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on January 15, 2022, at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-4:00PM.  A private family interment will take place.
