Charles W. Earl, age 93, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on February 14, 1931 in Waynesfield to the late Norman and Olive (McClain) Earl.

Charles is survived by his children: Elizabeth (Todd Murphy) Kohler of Troy and James (Debbie) Earl of Lima; grandchildren: Catherine Kohler of Columbus, Devan Earl of Michigan and Alexander Kohler of New York; great grandchildren: Madisyn Earl, Samantha Earl, Sophia Earl and Isabella Earl.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Helen C. (Harrison) Earl; grandsons: James and Donavan Earl and siblings: Roger, Idalou and Norma Jean.

He was a graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Math and History from Bluffton College and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Miami University. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War.  He enjoyed teaching math and history for several years in Belle Center. He enjoyed helping students find their life long passions as a guidance counselor at Piqua High School from 1963 till 1989.

He was a member of Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship in Alabama.  He enjoyed gardening, reading, math, history, book clubs, volunteering and woodworking.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
