Charles V. "Pete" Davis, 72, of Troy died in his sleep on Tuesday,April 30, 2002 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1929 in Jackson, Ohio to the late John and Panzy Pritchard Davis. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene Stapleton Davis in May of 1977; 5 brothers Dwight "Dick", Delmar A., John W."Jake", Ralph W. "Hodie" and Delbert D. "Jim" Davis; 6 sisters Mary L. "Dutch" Case, M. Eileen Rice, Ruby I. Canter, and Panzy Jewel "Joanne" Rowlands. Mr. Davis is survived by 4 sons Paul V. "Jody" and his wife Terri Lynn Davis of Troy, OH; Rickey Allen and his wife Sherrie L. Davis of Troy, OH , Randall Scott Davis of Beavercreek, OH. Robert Eugene Davis and his companion Sandy Johnson of Tipp City, OH. daughter Deborah Pike of Troy, OH; brother Denver D. "Mike" and his wife Janice Davis of St. Paris, OH; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a longtime companion Sue McDade and her children Ed and his wife Julie McDade of Missouri, Mark and his wife Natlie Gallagher of Troy, OH, Chuck and Kelly McDade of Troy, OH, Chris and his wife Melanie McDade of Huber Heights, OH and 18 grandchildren. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War where he received the purple heart; a member of AMVETS; and retiree in 1992 from B.F. Goodrich after 37 years of service. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be Fri. May 3, 2002 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. John Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call on the family Thurs. May 2, 2002 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
