Charles William ''Bill'' Wallace, 78, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1926 in Tipp City, Ohio to the late Lee and Marie Blalack Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Josephine Brown Wallace. He is also survived by his childred, son, Richard William Wallace and late Suzy Wallace of Casstown, Ohio and daughter and son-in-law: Krista Wallace Black and Mel Black of Richmond, IN. Also a sister, Mary Sirch of Piqua, Ohio. He has four grandchildren, Thomas & Dawn Wallace of Casstown, OH; Betsy & Mark Staley of Casstown, OH; Sally Wallace of Casstown, OH and friend Andy Heath of Cable, OH; and Kara Black of Richmond, IN. There are two great-grandchildren, Katelynn Wallace and Kendal Staley. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Carl and Paul Wallace and 1 sister, Phyllis Wallace. He was a member of Cove Springs Church; Cove Springs Grange for over 50 years; Miami County Farm Bureau; Miami County Sheep Improvement Association. He had many hobbies like refinishing furniture, canning chairs and fixing a variety of things. He was a 4-H leader; was a coach for Little League Baseball; was a avid Reds fan and he loved baseball. He served in the US Army, Ohio 37th Division during WW II earning a Purple Heart. He was a graduate of Elizabeth Township Schools. He retired from the US Post office in Troy after 33 years of service as a Rural Route Carrier. He also was a Farmer all his life. The Rev. Paul Calvert will be officiating the service with burial in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
