CHARLES WILLIAM "BILL" BURT, age 80, of Piqua, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in the Hospice Unit of the Dayton VA Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on November 4, 1940, in Piqua to the late Clarence N. and Helen Marie (Evans) Burt.

Bill is survived by four children: Tonja (David) Landis, Tracy Schotsch, Michael (Carol) Cantrell and Eric (Amy) Burt; two brothers: Larry (Diane) Burt and Bob (Rhonda) Burt; nine grandchildren: Marty, Ashley, Erica, Michael, Aeriel, Coty, Alex, Alexis and Braiden; two sister-in-laws: Hilda Burt and Elaine Burt; and several great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry Burt and Clarence Burt, Jr.

Bill was a 1958 graduate of Miami East High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War as a crew chief.  Bill was a member of American Legion Post 0184 in Piqua.  He retired from Morgan Co. ARH, where he worked in maintenance.  He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Denny Cantrell officiating.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.
