Charlene Elizabeth Anderson, age 85, of Casstown, OH passed away on July 28, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Calvin, KY to the late Henry and Twylah (Harbin) Kelley.

She is survived by her son: Gregg (Susan) Anderson of Troy; daughter: Patricia Anderson of Troy; granddaughter: Ellie (Alex) Miller of Troy; great grandchildren: William Miller and Maxwell Miller; sisters: Juanita Burnette of Hamilton and Sherril (Ronald) Creasy of London, KY; sisters-in-law: Margie Kelley of Hamilton, Judy Kelley of Cannon, KY and Linda (Michael) Short of Troy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Douglas Dean Anderson on May 19, 2025; two great grandchildren: Gianna Marie and John Paul Miller; brothers: Herman Kelley and Earl Wayne Kelley; sisters: Rebecca Ann Kelley and Frances Kelley Lee; brothers-in-law: Cecil Burnette and Robert (Madeline) Anderson.

She was a graduate of Bell County High School and attended Morehead State University. She was a first and second grade teacher with Newton Schools, substitute teacher with Miami East Schools and a stay-at-home mom.  She was a consultant with Home and Interior Gifts for 35 years.

She was a longtime member of Troy Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and involved with Silver Stars senior ministry. She loved to travel, flying with her husband and son and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook and the best mom and mimi. She was a classy woman of strong faith, grace and elegance.

Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Troy Baptist Church with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at the church.
