Cecil C. Thompson, age 78 of Troy died Friday, October 27 at his residence.  He was born May 24, 1922 in Waynesburg, KY to the Late, John and Grace Carter Thompson.  He is survived by his wife, Ruby Pearl Kiser; son, Robert Thompson of Virginia and two stepsons, Harold Elliot of California and Edward R. Young of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters, Nancy Mitchell of Tipton, IN; Bessie Mullins of Kentucky and Ruby Gaddis of Muncie, IN; two brothers, John Thompson Jr. of New Castle, IN and Arthur Thompson of Christiansburg; Two grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Rueben Thompson.

A WWII US Army Veteran, he was a member of the Troy VFW Post #5436 and AmVets Post #88.  He was a retired meatpacker with Brauns in Troy after 25 years of service.

Service will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Interment in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio.  Contributions may be made to donor's favorite charity.
