Catherine L. Strohl, age 79, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at the Koester Pavilion, Troy, Ohio. She was born December 25, 1930 at home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the late Charles L. and Emma Sando Strohl. Catherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Rodney Michael; son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Lorrie Ording; granddaughter, Danielle Brad Drumright; and grandson, Nick Ording. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Catherine attended the University of Alabama. She was a veteran of the Army Medical Corp during the Korean War having served as First Lieutenant, Registered Nurse. She was formerly employed with Stouder Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse. She also served as a librarian with the Cherokee Public Library in Centre, Alabama and the Elizabeth School. She was a full-time mom and grandma. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and baseball and loved her pug, Tinkerbell. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be held 6:30PM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM and 5:30-6:30PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice of charity.
