Catherine Lucile Koons, age 95, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Stonespring of Vandalia, OH. Catherine was born on March 9, 1920 in Piqua, OH to the late Frank H. and Ida C. "Edith" (Klopf) Meiring. Catherine was married to Richard T. Koons in April 17, 1938 and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2000.

Catherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Ruth Koons of Tipp City; daughters: Janet Marr of Troy and Joan Canan of Troy; brother: Paul Meiring of Troy; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Catherine was preceded in death by sister: Martha Meiring; and brothers: John, Lawrence, Richard, Charles, Edward, William and Robert Meiring.

Catherine was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.

Services will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
