Carrie Ellen Tucker, age 98, of Troy, OH passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  She was born on June 8, 1919 in Casstown, OH to the late Harry Leroy and Elizabeth Marie (Wackler) Tucker.

Ellen is survived by nieces and nephews:  Kathy Swearingin, Debby and Jim Brown, Mark Smith, Trey Tucker, Kyle Tucker, Justin Smith, Rachel Marie Smith, Benjamin Smith, Jacob Smith, Brian Swearingin and Brad Swearingin.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by brother: Noland Edward Tucker; sister: Gladys Marie Tucker and nephew: Ty Tucker.

Ellen was a graduate of Troy High School.  She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy.  She retired in 1979 after many years of service with Hobart Corporation.  She enjoyed photography, gardening and traveling.  She touched a lot of people's lives and was a wonderful aunt.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00PM on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 110 West Franklin Street, Troy, OH 45373.
