Caroline Joy Thomas Caroline Joy Thomas, 76, of Troy, passed away at home surrounded by family on April 22, 2008. She was born December 17, 1931 in Pollock, SD to the late Rev. H.H. and Vera Osborne Turner. She is survived by her husband, John O. Thomas; three daughters, Teresa Reed of Tipp City, Pennie Tom Barlow of Conway, AR, Jamie Bob Stafford of Fairmount, IN; four grandchildren, Amy Chris Long of Tipp City, Michael Lisa Meredith, Tipp City, Ben Tracy Meredith, Huntersville, NC, Janessa Drew Berry of Little Rock, AR and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to three step-daughters, Jackie Tom Reed, Susan Mark Lee, Kathie Dan Carmichael, all living outside of Ohio, also surviving are three sisters, Evangeline Wes McIntyre, Betty Ed Fitzgerald and Joan Jack Hudson. She was preceded in death by six brothers. This unforgettable lady passed through our lives and touched us all with love, style and joy. We were blessed by her presence and the example she brought to every day. We cannot replace her but she will live clearly in our memories until we join her and Christ in the better home she now has found. Until then we rejoice in how she changed us and made us better persons. A memorial service will be held at the Ginghamsburg Methodist Church Disciple Center at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 3, 2008.
