Caroline T. Gillis died unexpectedly on Friday, June 8, 2001. She is survived by a son David Paul Gillis of Dayton; a daughter, Linda Marie Gillis of Vandalia and a sister, Alice Pawlowski of Troy, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Taylor nee Miller and husband, John Thomas Gillis. Mrs. Gillis was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Troy. She retired from Hobart Brothers in 1991 after 20 year of service in the mail room. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Soup Kitchen.
