Carol Joy Cummings, age 63, of Troy passed away on Friday, March 07, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton, OH.  She was born on October 27, 1950 to the late James E. and Harriette E. (Rockwell) Myers.  Carol is survived by her husband Dana, whom she married in 1969.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Brent F. and Erika Cummings, Troy; and one grandson: Landon Cummings.

Carol graduated from Lakeview High School, Battlecreek, MI.  She was formerly employed as a Dental Assistant.  She also worked with Tipp Professional Services.  Carol was formerly a realtor with Gibson Realty in Englewood, OH.  She had been the organist with Troy Christian Church, Troy, and more recently an organist with the First Presbyterian Church, Troy where she was also a member.  Carol loved to share her gift of music with the congregations she served and the God she loved.  She loved her family and was a devoted friend.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Walnut Street, Troy with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday in the church sanctuary and also during a luncheon following the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
