Carol A. Spears, age 74, of Troy, passed away on February 13, 2014 at Spring Meade Health Center, Tipp City, OH.  She was born in Champaign, Co, OH on December 23, 1939 to the late Clifford and Clara Fay (Heck) Garver.  She was married to Jerry Spears for 53 years.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by three children: Mark Spears, Clayton, Melinda Zimmer, Jefferson, GA and Michelle Hart, Springfield; two sisters: Shirley Bailey, Bellefontaine, OH and Gloria Friend, Urbana, OH; eight grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother: Clifford; and one granddaughter: Madyson.

Carol graduated from Christiansburg Jackson High School in 1957.  She was a part time Physical Trainer at A. B. Graham Center.  Carol was a loving wife, mother and friend to all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 8, 2014 from 1-4 PM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
