CARMELLA GUMBERT, age 83, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on February 4, 1933 in Troy to the late John H. and Chloe Etta (Miller) Livingston.  Her husband of 56 years, Ralph Edsel Gumbert, preceded her in death on April 29, 2011.

Carmella is survived by one son: Mark Gumbert of Troy; and four granddaughters: Anna Gumbert, Sara Gumbert, Casey Wetsig and Krystal Evans.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Michael Gumbert; and one brother: Jerry Livingston.

Carmella was a 1951 graduate of Troy High School.  She was formerly employed as a Technical Writer for Hobart.  Carmella had also been employed by Aero Products for 10 years, Container Corp. and Piqua Nuclear Power Facility.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and singing at church.  Carmella attended the Central  Baptist Church in Piqua.

Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Chaplain Mike Herbert officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
