Carl Douglas "Doug" Clevenger, age 65, of Troy, OH passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his wife and children.  He was born on December 28, 1953 to Margie (Nichols) Clevenger of Troy and the late Carl E. Clevenger.

In addition to his mother, Doug is survived by his wife of 43 years: Mary E. (Gretzinger) Clevenger; children: JC (Laura) Clevenger of Glenmoore, PA and Katie (Jim) Crotty of Hinsdale, IL; grandchildren: Liam, Audrey, Olivia, Torey, Bryn, and Declan; siblings: Carolyn (Walter) Poe of Urbana, Sandy (Phil) Yahle of West Milton; and Rick (Cindy) Clevenger of Tipp City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug was a 1972 graduate of Tipp City High School and was a member of the Tipp City Eagles.   He enjoyed all sports, especially the Buckeyes.   He loved gardening, golfing, and hunting and was a self-taught gourmet chef.   Doug retired in March 2017 as a civil employee of Wright Patterson AFB.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00PM – 7:00PM on Friday, January 11, 2019.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
